Due Credit

While I was procrastinating I came across this picture that looked familiar.

Then I remembered that it looks a lot like this one I took a while back.

I'm not going to point any fingers because I can't deny the possibility of him standing in the same place at the same time. And I wasn't even going to mention it because I actually do know the guy and he's cool in my book. But he then proceeded to copyright it, so I figured I should do the same.

Wow, that was easy.

  • Apparently, the owner of the site is not to blame because he did get permission from someone who thought the photo was his. Man, scandals are good for site traffic.

  • He got permission from a dude who said it was his (the dude's) and then he (pic-thief) had it posted and copywritten as his (pic-theif)'s own? And, you know him, but he got it from some other dude? I dunno, man. I just dunno. And, for the record. I like the glare. It's real. And, when my contacts need replacing, that is exactly how my world looks, anyone else? Love the pic.

  • hmm.. the whole thing is pretty complicated but I'm pretty sure it's no ones fault. Plus I'm not making any money off my pictures and neither is anyone else so I don't really care.

But I emailed some pictures to a friend who was putting them on his website along with some of his pictures from a trip we went on. He didn't remember if he had taken the picture and knew I wouldn't care anyway. The other guy who put it on his website only put a copyright on it indirectly through copyrighting his website and not including credits. Unfortunately, a lot of people use the copyright symbol without knowing how it works or what it means. But I originally posted this in jest.

  • haha, I'm not sure either.
